Hey Ryan.. Ive seen you working the projector at the bmsr and marshmallow ghosts shows.. so I was wondering if you had any suggestions for a good projector to buy. Im looking for one to use at shows as well.

Hey, maybe this has already been answered elsewhere, but I've wondered for a while why Tobacco releases his stuff on Anticon and not Graveface.

^ Anticon is more hip-hop, whereas Graveface is more indie

i don't mean to speak for mr. graveface here, but i'm not sure he would consider his label indie. from an interview [http://www.dazeddigital.com/music/article/9847/1/rise-dreamend-graveface]:
"How would you describe your work? Intense as fuck. Non-stop nonsense geared towards those that truly have an independent spirit. Not what's considered 'indie' in mainstream culture, but actual independence. I touch every single copy of every single Graveface album by way of hand-assembly or stuffing etc. Working 20 hours a day till I die!"

Well, yeah. Most people throw around the term "indie" like it means nothing these days. What Ryan does actually *is* "indie".

^ Anticon is more hip-hop, whereas Graveface is more indie Yeah, anticon definitely has carved out a spot for themselves in the hip hop genre, but I feel like Ryan wouldn't hesitate to release Tobacco's material, or any good hip hop material for that matter. Your point does make me think of a potential reason for Tobacco's decision, though. Maybe Tobacco was hoping from the start to have some awesome guest vocalists, which is probably more easily accomplished when you've got contacts like Doseone.

Indie is basically the word used now for what was referred to in the 90s as alternative. It's a genre rather than a way of explaining something political or personal to me.

Ah shit, guys! How does the word "eclectic" work for everybody? I fucking hate journalists, publicists sometimes....

Ryan what sort of effects and such did you use for that lovely guitar in the final version of A Sunbeam In Every Sip?
I am in love with that hawaiian (?) sounding guitar and have been curious for years how people get that sound.

Glad you dig!
