I'm wondering if there will be an option to renew your subscription after you've received your 10 releases. I haven't even received anything yet, but this is one of the most awesome things that I'm involved with. agreed! and i'm pretty sure there is a way to renew the subscription at the end, i'm pretty sure he's mentioned it [and mentioned/hinted that it'd be slightly discounted too? i believe]

The sub is already extremely cheap and affordable.
I say we start a sepearte fundraiser to help raise funds to press other albums not yet available on vinyl.
Such as: Monster Movie: Transistor Hospital Ships: Oh, Ramona.

this is what ryan said in the Hospital Ships thread, regarding Oh, Ramona being on vinyl: I couldn't agree more! Soon my friend, soon. The moment we run out of cds I'll be pressing it on vinyl. so, as soon as those all get eaten up, it looks like they will be. i guess we could just try to spread the word about how awesome the cd is!

My vote is RC members get one Freddy Point for each title for the following reasons:
1. Freddy Points are supposed to be an incentive to buy more Graveface Releases, so with every album you get one point.
2. We are getting a CD/LP/MP3s and in some cases a cassette, exclusive poster, etc. for like $10 that is an AMAZING deal you will get nowhere else.
3. If we keep the points low new fans will be encouraged to buy more Graveface product and maybe even join the club.
4. This isn't the Sony Music Group, Graveface needs to make a profit (quiet down hipsters Ryan needs to eat) and with him practically giving away physical copies of music that should be enough.
5. I assume with the giving away of free items the bands on the label aren't making any money from that so the bands we all love (Appleseed Cast, Dreamend and Kid Dakota especially ;D) are losing out and let's be honest they aren't getting rich with this deal.
6. The fact we get to buy music that is original and touches our hearts and souls should be enough. Let's stop being musical capitalist and just support a label that puts out quality music.
7. Ryan has a nice butt.
8. My rant is over.

3. If we keep the points low new fans will be encouraged to buy more Graveface product and maybe even join the club. i'm pretty sure that if new fans acquired more points, they would be more likely to invest in the band/label, for the incentive that they'd receive even MORE points. This would also make the record label appear more "cool" because they're giving away so many free things. but overall [and with the other 7 of your 8 points], i completely agree, and think that new fans will still realize how cool the record label is, even if only one freddy point [or a slightly lesser amount of freddy points] is given away.

True dat. People who want art will buy Graveface Records anyway. But I have to confess I personally was more willing to give bands like Lava Children a chance because I knew I was building towards the goal of getting a Schaff piece of artwork. So if I liked the band or not I was gaining something.

any of you have an inkling as to what the record club member card is going to look like? No, but I can't wait to get it. As for the Freddy Points, I'm not too concerned with them. I would appreciate it if we got a ton of them, but I'm just happy to have the music, in every format to boot. The Freddy Points are just a bonus. I'm wondering if there will be an option to renew your subscription after you've received your 10 releases. I haven't even received anything yet, but this is one of the most awesome things that I'm involved with. I'm working on a letterpress card right now. We'll see if that works out. There's a renew option after your first 10 is up. I'm glad you dig! First packages are being assembled now.

Such as: Monster Movie: Transistor Hospital Ships: Oh, Ramona. I would love to own both of those on vinyl. I have a feeling Hospital Ships is going to be "big". I mean that in comparison to most of the bands on Graveface. So that one prolly will happen. Monster Movie is a troubling one. How they aren't fucking massive is mind-boggling.

Will we be notified when they ship? And I've been trying to keep track, but I'm still not sure about what all we're getting in this first package. Those letterpress cards could be really cool. Here's hoping that happens.

Wow. Just got the communique confirming my personal details along with links to mp3s of the next three releases.
And the Hospital Ships zip contains a lo-fi version of the entire album as a bonus.
We really are spoiled. I thought the Record Club was so great in concept the reality couldn't live up to it. I was wrong. Very, very wrong.
