Just wanted to make sure those RC members who might have missed the e-mail from Ryan got to read this latest:
"Hello Record Club!
Hope your Saturday is lovely thus far. On this sunny but freezing day I thought I would send the mp3s for the new Dreamend album to you. I'm going to delete this link in 5 days so grab it quick:
www.megaupload.com/?d=ODMSHAM6
I really hope you enjoy it. It was an incredibly painful album to make and is an even more painful album to promote. No one wants to talk about it so I really need your help to spread the word. I know you are not a street team by any means but there is definitely power in numbers. It seems like people that listen to Bon Iver to Arcade Fire to Misfits could get into it. In addition to blasting anyone within an earshot (in a relaxed and not annoying way of course), it would be really beneficial if you all could request it be brought in at your local record stores. I know you've heard that before but it really does help a great deal. Give a fake phone number - I tend to use the rejection hotline:
www.humorhotlines.com/rejectionhotline.asp
If you need extra posters to hang up around town, hit me up - I'll include them in your RC mailing. I've always been meaning to start up the actual street team but never have a free second to do so.
Lastly, due to Facebook being a bunch of jerks I have to migrate everyone over to a new Facebook account for Dreamend. Please click like here: www.facebook.com/pages/Dreamend/223142187768583
Thank you so much for being the best Record Club on the planet.
Peace & Love,
Ryan Graveface
p.s. I'm going to go live with our charity subscription series soon and I wanted to see if anyone had any suggestions of how to offer such a thing to the Record Club. It'll be 12-14 7"s & 10"s w/ $$ going to a charity limited to 500 copies each. Probably will be in the $90-$115 range, post paid. Not sure if there is a way since it's almost the same price as the Record Club. Perhaps just a discount to Record Club members? Feel free to post suggestions at the unused messageboard. I actually do listen to what you guys suggest."
