Listened to: Tim Hecker - " Ravedeath, 1972" (Kranky) YES TIM HECKER. Another piece of ambient bliss from a great dude. A beautiful atmospheric album, I could see this rating go up after a few listens. Absolutely gonna be a front runner for album of the year! (Yeah it's early. Sue me.) 4/5Please tell me you know Tim Hecker to get an advance copy! You're so luck to have heard it already. I hope he does a tour for this album!!! Oh dude, it's not even available for pre-order from Kranky yet. Wow! Wait, I found it on Darla Records.

Sadly, it is a leak, but I am almost certain I will buy it. I found the 320kbps download. Plus, I've already reserved my copy locally to buy. Thanks for the heads up!

i couldn't be less out of the loop on 2011 releases. the compounded indifference to all that it's probably my age starting to show. glad to be on this board so i can see what the label's up to, i don't have much of an outlet for that information besides the choice artists i follow on twitter.
i did listen to the newest pj harvey album, but could tell pretty quickly it's not really for me.

Yeah, I'm still trying to get into a groove and get more stuff. Aside from the (maybe?) ten things I've listened to, I don't think I have any other albums from this year so far. I should hit up more random unknown bands. Eh.

Listened to:
Heavy Ghost - "Ten Thousand Years" (Endless Field Studios)
Ergh. I don't think this band can decide whether they want to be a rock band, a dream pop band, a shoegaze band, or an ambient band. Each track is like a whole different album to me. You aren't the Flaming Lips, dudes...I'm not gonna listen to four different albums in one sitting.
Overall, some signs of life, but no consistency at all for me, which is not good. At all.
1.5/5

The Go! Team's Rolling Blackouts was a fantastic surprise. I'd never listened to them before that and I'm extremely glad that it happened.

Listened to:
Tennis - "Cape Dory"
Sweet and catchy, albeit hollow pop. Enjoyable, but forgettable. 2.5/5
Youngteam - "Daydreamer"
Acceptable for background noise, I guess. Not particularly good. 1.5/5
Eisley - "The Valley"
A bunch more embarrassing to listen to compared to Room Noises. The album has a few brights, mostly the last two songs "Please" and "Ambulance", but the songwriting can still be absolutely atrocious for long periods of time. 2.5/5

- Josh T Pearson "Last of the country gentlemen". Ex-leader of Lift to Experience, very nice songs. - Colin Stetson, an amazing saxophonist signed by Constellation, New history Warfaire Vol.2 - Low "C'mon" - Panda Bear "Tomboy", but not as good as Person Pitch. - Some songs of The king of limbs by Radiohead (Little by little, Bloom, Codex and Separator)
So, i wait now for the new Dreamend and Hospital ships LP, and the new Elysian Fields, too. And i agree with deathwatch carnival, Ravedeath, 1972 is a great great album.

This Will Destroy You -- Tunnel Blanket
This one finally really does destroy you (corny I know). The opener, Little Smoke is just intense. It's a very ambient album, more so than their debut; it reminds me of Solace by Jakob, actually.
4/5
