What was the last gig or two you were at? What do you have on the calendar?
I saw Jonsi on my birthday back in November...unforgettable experience to say the least.
I just found out Mark McGuire of Emeralds is playing here in Kent this saturday, so I may take a stroll down to hear it. I'm heading to Columbus on Feb. 18th to see Sam Amidon...heading to Chicago on March 26 for Godspeed You! Black Emperor, and seeing the Appleseed Cast on the 23rd of April.
How about you?

I'm probably going to miss Salem, and they are playing at my favorite venue. Stupid mom Hopefully going to see Crystal Castles in March though! Also, I hope I can make The Appleseed Cast's Michigan show, not sure when that one is though. Other than that I don't know of any other than that I don't know any shows I'd be able to make it to. The last gig I saw was Matt & Kim though. They are great live, I like them. I got to crowd surf and afterward I met Kim.

Haha, I'm with you on living paycheck to paycheck. But I love Ohio, I hate Ohio...it is what it is. I'm hoping to get out of here in 3-4 years though.

well, the part of ohio i grew up in is straight up rural country. i wouldn't mind living there, but i am pretty sure i could never find a job in my field in that area. of all the places i've lived (MD, CT, OH, PA) i liked pittsburgh the best. i would love to live there, but can't find a job in my field

I almost saw Baths Baths was great, but Will was fucking sick... literally. He was visibly struggling but goddamn he pulled through... that's dedication! Braids was one of the openers and I thought they were really good. The drummer was pretty impressive, I thought. I recommend catching this tour if you can. Blackbird, Blackbird also opened. Pretty good, but not mind blowing... kind of Washed Out-sy.
