my brother is huge into cycling. few years back he worked at performance (used to be nashbar), and he would get to take home for free any return parts they couldnt resell. he collected so many parts that he was able to build me a pretty decent road bike, and all for free! i love this bike!

Yeah, after I move I hope to eventually get a decent bike to get all over the place. Wanted to that here, but got so wrapped in other stuff that it got put on the backburner. Boooo. <3 bikes

Mine is a black Cannondale r500/800? Anyway, I think that's a great cyclist's frame, it looks fairly light weight, especially at the right price of FREE! I used to get Performance catalogs every month, but ever since I stopped ordering and buying locally they don't come in the mail anymore. You've got a cool brother though to build you that bike. Thanks for posting.

Thanks for posting. yeah its a chromium/molybdenum frame i think, chromalloy or something? made to look like titanium. actually, he got tons of spare parts, enough to build 2 or 3 more bikes. one of them is almost completely carbon fiber. frame, fork, seat post, all carbon fiber!

Yeah! Carbon fiber is definitely the better frame and fork setup. www.fizik.it/ [Fi'zi:k] a saddle I always recommend to friends.
