for starters i love everything about Tobacco, and these are just an added bonus to why i love it all so much. the way they flow and the absolute retro absurdity of it all make me so happy.
the sad part is, i dont know much about them.
I know there made by Beta Carnage. but where and HOW does he find all of this wonderful footage???
I know he released the first one on VHS and isent making any more. AND i Also know when he went on tour last year, he was selling the Fucked Up Friends 2 DVD with a DVD and a Blue Ray. I don't own a Blue Ray, so i haven't watched it.
Is the Blue Ray disk the first Fucked Up Friends video???
the blu-ray supposedly contains fucked up friends 1 that tobacco recorded to VHS and put through the microwave, haha. i dont own a blu-ray player, so i have never watched it.
fucked up friends 1 was never released on VHS, only DVD. check the link in my sig for pictures.
though a while back, tobacco took names for a hand-made VHS release of fucked up friends 1, but he closed the list after a while and said that he let it get too long. this was a few years back at least, and he has said that he would like to get them out if he has the time, but since they're hand-made and i imagine he's a pretty busy guy, noting has happened with them.
I think Beta Carnage has been saving whatever tapes found at secondhand, thrift stores or from everywhere all the while compiling them for quite some time. Someday, if we're lucky enough, maybe we will know our true music patriots' face and name. I know whoever it is they probably are avoiding a bunch of lawsuits and copyright investigations by staying out of the spotlight. Keep making those FUCKED UP FRIENDS films we love so much at concerts!

Yeah, I put on Fucked Up Friends 1 and/or 2 pretty much every time I have people over. And just to clear-up the confusion about the Blu-Ray - it's got Fucked Up Friends 2 immediately followed by a "microwaved-VHS-remaster" of the original. I'm not sure exactly what the microwaved bit means, to be honest. There are a few clips that are sort of wavy and distorted, so I suppose maybe that's what it's referring to.
