Drove home from Ween show in Athens Saturday (Wuxtry was solid for RSD) and then drove home to find Raleigh in ruins from the tornados. I was able to get to Schoolkids Raleigh before getting further downtown where the tornadoes had passed through earlier that day. I'm trying to get my hands on the Bleed American reissue and have stuff I can trade, otherwise I'll end up selling them on ebay to get the money to buy the Bleed American... which I'd rather not do. I picked up Mike Gordon (7" and LP), Deftones, Neurosis, Nirvana, Mumford and Sons, Dengue Fever, Rhymesayers pic disc, Flying Lotus, Grinderman Evil, Wavves/Trash Talk 7", Opeth 7" and had preordered the Dylan and Pearl Jam LPs on the Thursday from Amazon when they were all $8.99... Deerhoof/Xiu Xiu, Busdriver and Beastie Boys are coming in the mail later too. Never saw the Pink Floyd, Phish nor Jimmy Eat World. If anyone wants to trade me a Bleed American I have an extra Nirvana and am not married to the Evil. Also, my local shop still has a bunch of stuff so I can help people out if they're in need of anything particular. They still have the Ripple, Off! and a ton of other stuff... they even have their RSD 2010 stuff integrated but they're reduced in price.

I was really hoping to get my hands on the Tron picture disc. Your local shop doesn't have that by chance? I wasn't really too excited by a whole lot of record store day releases this year, and money was tight, so I only came home with three things: Velvet Underground 7", Deerhoof/Xiu Xiu 7" and Another Nice Pair 12" by the Black Angels. I had a copy of the Beach Boys 78, and was going to get it, but I talked myself out of it since I can't properly play it. I'll keep an eye out for Bleed American for you, though.

Since there isn't a record store here, I went to the city Record Fair instead. I think my fiancee and I came out with like 50 records.
Eff yeah.

^ she must be a cool chick.
I had to work that day actually, first time missing out in like 4 years. I did fill out an order to Not Not Fun while i was working in the greenhouse though. Got the new Dylan Ettinger 7", Wet Hair 7" and art book, Sand Circles tape and they gave me a live Gnod cd. Bunch of good releases this year, the one I wanted most was the Javelin Canyon Candy 10". Stopped by my shop in philly a few days later on the way back from the dentist and copped dat ;D

if anyone on this board is looking for stuff the stores here in Seattle are awesome and have stuff still.
One of the stores is owned by a board member of Record Store Day. I've been fortunate to find awesome UK only releases as of late.
Send me a pm if you are looking.
