RED STRIPE MON. RED STRIPE. JA? Ja, Mon! I kicked the Corona piss beer as soon as I was at this hip hop record release party where all they had was Red Stripe. I'll never forget how they forced everyone to take home cases with them for promotion because they had so much of it for us leftover. An amazing night! Also, I've been getting into Molson Canadian as an on tap favorite & my backup or go-to #1 beer absolutely is Blue Moon ~ anytime & anywhere with anything to eat. What do you guys like to eat with your beer? Any great combination out there I need to try beside pretzels?

Although I can rarely drink them because of how rich and strong they are, I fucking love a nice stout (a favorite of mine is the Old Rasputin Imperial Stout) with a nice steak dinner. So good.

alrighty i had a beertiful weekend and am ready to report back.
last night we had a few at the local mellow mushroom:
highland gaelic ale= a deep amber ale made in asheville, nc with a good balance between malty sweetness and delicate hop bitterness.
dubuisson scaldis belgian ale= this was a fragrant thick yeasty amber ale, and with a whopping 12% alcohol content it was approaching a medicinal flavor. a dangerous little bottle indeed.
today went to little 5 points in atlanta to "the porter". love that place. here are my selections there:
vapeur cochonette (pig farm)= i chose this one because the description said "childhood candy-like flavors"- i mean who can resist that? it was a sweet, spicy, and complex belgian amber ale and when it arrived it had a dancing lady pig with big tits on the label..so awesome...pictures to come! hahaha.
brasserie des rocs grand cru= belgian special brown ale that was unfiltered and had yummy sediment all in it. spicy, malty, with a hint of cherry....calm complexity out to wazoo....
youngs double chocolate stout= omg this was the yummiest choc stout i have ever had, i swear it is like i was eating 80% cacao along with it! so good. it was satisfyingly indulgent yet not overly sweet.
next time i go i will get the wild heaven ode to mercy winter which is brewed in decater, ga just outside of alanta. i was about to order it but then realized i had a perfect buzz and was ready to hit criminal records.
i looked for some of the suggestions that were offered since i had my trusty little beer notebook with me, but with an overwhelming 50 page menu to sort through i did not see any of them. i will keep looking though.

Tonight's "I'm watching (aka streaming) a wrestling PPV drinks:
Terrapin Hopsecutioner IPA: I've had a few of these over time, and they've always been pretty easily drinkable while having a nice hoppy presence. Not a particularly bold flavor, but still a decent beer.
Dogfish Head 90 Minute IPA: Ah, yes. An old standby. Probably the only reason Delaware should exist. Probably my second favorite IPA, and a great beer. Rich hop presence and a bold flavor, while maintaining a smooth drinkability. While IPAs aren't for everyone, I love 'em. And there isn't much better than 90 Minute!

I'm also drinking a Leffe, which is a pretty solid, tasty, drinkable Belgian blonde ale.

Had a rough weekend, so it saw me put down a sixer of Rogue dry hopped St. Rogue Red Ale and a 220z of Rogue's Creek ale. Wasn't too excited about the Creek Ale; it's brewed with cherries, but it tasted liked vomit essentially...although that may have just been what was mulling in my stomach at the time :/ kept it down though.

The beer is looking beautifully delicious, yet that label has me so confused. Maybe it's because I know swine have more tits than that & the weird humanness shaped breasts! I guess they are really playing off the idea that if you're drunk enough anything can be sexy. Oh that's quite funny indeed. Maybe they're also trying to market to women similar to wine bottle labels. Thanks for posting!

Had a good night last night with some close friends...enjoyed a Stone Levitation Ale, Troegs Nugget Nectar, Great Lakes Conway Irish Ale (WOW, highly recommended), and some Stella Artois, a classic.

I had one of those huge Fosters ale cans last night. Those things are pretty much the best when you wanna spend next to no money. :x

Been so long since I posted in here...
What have I had lately....
Bell's Hopslam IPA: Top stuff.
Highland Oatmeal Porter: Flat taste, forgettable.
Rodenbach Grand Cru: Top 10 beer.
Rodenbach Classic: Still pretty good.
DFH Midas Touch: Also maybe a top 10 beer.
DFH Raison d'Etre: Eh. Decent enough. A little disappointing for a huge DFH fan.
